My name is Charlotte. I have been involved with horses since a very young age, and have owned horses from the age of 14. I suddenly, and very sadly, lost my beloved first horse 'Chance' in December 2016. We were together for 22 years and in this time successfully competed in most disciplines, our favourite being SJ and Showing. At Chance's last show in September 2016 at Leyland Court he took the Ridden Veteran and overall Reserve Champion, so you could say he left at the top of his game. He is sorely missed. I have named my business in memory to this wonderful horse of a lifetime.
I had a break from owning horses after having my Son in 2017. During this time I worked as a freelancer, on busy competition yards and private yards to keep my hand in. I enjoyed many different roles including commentating at shows. I bought a Welsh Section D foal in 2019 and showed him in-hand, where he took Reserve Champion at his first show, I then sold him on to a lovely knowledgeable home where he will become a horse trials driving pony. I now own a lovely TB gelding called Kings Grey, aka Kingsley. He was formerly trained by Philip Kirby Racing, following his retirement he went on to a lovely lady, Clare Poole, to be re-schooled and produced for RoR Showing classes, he was very successful and even competed at HOYS. He is now part of our family and we plan to enjoy a fun and varied life of RC, Jumping and other activities.
CHANCE EQUINE is a business I setup after leaving full time employment to have, and look after, my Son. My photography started when my husband bought me my first 'proper' camera, a Nikon D3400. I initially took photos as a hobby and it just grew from there. I now offer my photography services for local Horse Shows. Riding Club and Pony Club activities. Private photoshoots and Dog Shows etc. Quality photos are offered at an affordable price and easy to order through my Shootproof website. There are also discounts and deals for multiple purchases.
More recently I have created - Charlotte Brain Photography. This side of the business focuses on all non-equine related photography. I enjoy taking pictures of landscapes, sunsets, scenery, flowers, wildlife and the countryside. I have also taken many photos of my son and my family, capturing special moments to cherish. I do offer private photoshoots for families and pets. Its not all about horses.
